Annual Open Enrollment Overview

EMPLOYER ELECTION PERIOD – Annual enrollment packets for your employees will be sent to you by mid to late October.  Therefore, it is very important that you notify MBS of ANY Employer benefit changes during the Employer Benefit Election Period October 2 through October 13, 2017.

  • Default Election (only if you are not making changes):
    • Same Medical and Prescription Drug Plan Design
    • Same Medical Carrier(s)
    • Same Dental, Vision, Disability, and Life Insurance Coverage
    • Current benefit coverage for your employees will remain the same unless they complete a form during the ‘open’ enrollment period.
  • Action Required:
        • Adding/Changing Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, or Life Insurance Coverage
        • Adding/Changing Medical Carrier
        • Offering Voluntary Benefit Coverage

EMPLOYEE OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD – The annual enrollment for the MBS Benefits Program for your employees will take place from November 2 through November 17, 2017.  During this period, your employees will be required to elect their benefits and make any enrollment change.   After the annual enrollment period ends, employees will not be able to make changes to their benefit elections for the entire 2018 calendar year, unless they have a qualifying work or family status change.
